Bedroom Refresh
Treat Yourself!
We spend so much time in our bedrooms. All of us at Kelly ONeil Design are strong supporters of giving this important space a refresh every couple of years. With that in mind, we sourced some of our favorite items from our trusted vendors. Whether your are looking for new sheets, or a new bed frame - we’ve got you covered!
Bed Frame
We are absolutely in love with the headboard on this King-Sized Sea Glass Bed Frame from Somerset Bay. The colorful detail is understated, but still gives a little pop. While we do like the all off-white bedding that is pictured along with the bed frame, we have an idea of what might look even better! Keep scrolling to find out what we mean.
Dresser
We are crushing over this dresser from Caracole that is both gorgeous and practical. Not only does it work with the Sea Glass Bed Frame, but it is neutral enough that it could work in practically any space. Plus, it has NINE drawers.
Night STand
This Marble Nightstand from Four Hands is perfect for a bedroom of any size. Since it is simple-looking from further away, it is the perfect opportunity to add accessories to your bedroom. Throw a few books on the bottom shelf, a tissue holder on the top and you instantly look like you’ve designed a high-effort space…without doing too much work.
Bedding
We have been dreaming of this Border Frame Duvet Cover from Serena & Lily. We love the “Coastal Blue” option, but this bedding comes in eleven colors, and in every size. It also pairs perfectly with these sheets:
This Wave Sheet Set, also from Serena & Lily comes in the same colors as the Border Frame Duvet Cover pictured above. We also wouldn’t be upset if you couldn’t decide between two colors (they are all so gorgeous) and you wanted to mix and match!
Rug
A rug in the bedroom instantly adds an element of coziness to the space. It is also an opportunity to add a pop of color. We love this Handloomed Grazianio Rug from Anthropologie, that would work perfectly with the Sea Glass Bed Frame.
throw Pillows
We love throw pillows! They are a relatively inexpensive way to refresh your bedroom (or even your living room). We picked these two pillows because they would look absolutely gorgeous with any/all of the items pictured above. The blue pillow (left) is from Chandra Rugs, and the turquoise/mint pillow (right) from Rizzy Home.
Artwork
That brings us to our last set of items, ARTWORK! Never underestimate the power of art in a frame. What you choose can really reflect your personality, interests, hobbies, or you may just simply like the colors. The City Park Walk Wall Art (left) and the Dales Journey Wall Art (right) are both from Anthropologie, and they are can’t miss options for a bedroom. The colors and imagery are relaxing, and they are not too expensive.
You can hang artwork anywhere in the bedroom, but we especially like to put it above a bed frame (assuming there is room for it) or we often stick in on large, empty walls.
As always, if you ever need advice on designing your dream bedroom, feel free to reach out!
Until next time,
Kelly
