Our Process

Kelly O'Neil Design is a full-service residential interior design firm. We are involved in all aspects of of the design process, from working with architects & builders in the early planning & pre-construction stages, construction stage, project management, space planning and purchasing, through to the final installation.

You want your home to be an authentic reflection of you. Our process always starts with getting to know you. We want to know how you’d like to feel and function in the space, and what you’d like to see from our work together. During this big-picture conversation, we discuss design direction and your style, how you want to feel in your completed space, scope, investment level, our process and our fees. This phase is also where you get to share your dreams for your space.
This is where our greatest value lies. We take into consideration all of your thoughts and desires to produce a comprehensive design that reflects your aesthetic, lifestyle, and architectural details. We pride ourselves in our ability to have all spaces be cohesive. We envision your project from all angles to ensure your home suits you and your family. During this phase, we will confirm the design direction, layout, and furnishings investment estimate.
After the conceptual design presentation, our team digs into the details. Elevations, sketches for custom pieces, photo realistic renders and lots of sourcing dominate this time. In this phase, we complete selections in accordance with the approved conceptual design and we finalize floor plans. During our Detailed Design Presentation, you will see each fabric, finish and detail for your final approval of scope and furnishings investment estimate.
All purchasing and execution goes through us. Once proposals are signed and payment is received, orders are placed and a timeline is set. At this time we communicate with vendors on the specific details of each order. We oversee and coordinate deliveries and installations.
If your project includes construction, we work with your builder and their team to ensure the project goes as planned, stays true to the design direction and is completed at the highest quality.
Once construction is complete, our team will be on site for all installations to ensure that the transformation is complete and that we’ve created the home of your dreams.
We meet you at your home, walk through all spaces and details with you and celebrate the completion of your project!
